I felt like Cordelia in Spin the Bottle for a lot of S4 where Wesley and Gunn were concerned, they were such a smoulder of sexual tension and resentment and petty annoyance that they really did need a good kick in the shins, but in fic one can at least just shove them into each other's arms and tell them to get on with it, already.
