First Live Journal Entry

I've had this LJ for a little while now but have been too wussy/busy to get around to doing anything with it. But now that most of the fic I like seems to be posted to Live Journals before its archived, or isn't archived at all, I feel I have to take the plunge.

I'm in 'Six Feet Under' withdrawal after finishing S4 on DVD and now have to wait until next year for S5 to come out. On the upside I really enjoyed watching 'Dirty Pretty Things' tonight and am grateful to the Amazon rental service for all the films they've been sending that I haven't had to buy on DVD. Also impatiently awaiting S2 of Deadwood and Carnivale and looking forward to my Veronica Mars boxset to go from 'awaiting stock' on play.com to 'shipped'.

Hello!

Must watch 'Six feet under' some time. Deadwood is on my list of things to watch too. Meanwhile I'm trying to keep up with NCIS, House, Boston Legal and WAT - the latter purely because friends of mine adore Eric Close and I feel duty bound to support their pretty boy.

I've got the first two episodes of the new season of NCIS to watch tonight, and the first three of Supernatural, which I'm hoping will be better than 'Plot bad, Jensen pretty' – not that him being pretty isn't easy on the eye, but I really hope the stories are great as I am still a little peeved that the show isn't 'Wesley & Gunn on Route 66' instead. I'm a sucker for anything with a supernatural element in it but there don't seem to be that many shows made that contain it that have good reviews. I'm hoping this one will be the exception even if it is made by the WB (The bastards, they killed Angel!). And I do have my Lost boxset too, from which I'm also hoping for good things.

A bit late, but welcome to the LJ party. Or community. Or drunken orgy, depending on what you're reading and writing. Whichever it is I'm sure it's Ankh's fault. Or Scribe's. Or both of them somehow got together and did lots of things you can blame them for.

'Tis Lisa D here. I foolishly thought I'd have a different user name and be all ambiguous and mysterious on LJ, but failed miserably because I went and friended people I'd known for ages and still talked about the same stuff and now I just end up saying I'm me and not some weird stalker person you've never met before.

Glad to see you've come over to the dark side finally got with the whole LJ thing, I've now discovered where half of fandom seems to hang out and it's been a revelation. I've made lots of new friends and found lots of old ones :-).

I've got to run right now because I need to pick the kids up from school and then we have pony to go and see to. Yep, we've gained a pony since I last spoke to you, supposedly for endless fun and jollity, but the reality seems to be stress, tiredness and a lot of shouting from me at my children to get a grip *g*. No change there really.

Take no notice of Ankh, I've already mocked her cartoon icon, but in return she mocked my galloping My Little Pony icon so I had to stop. I used my FBI boys for this one instead.

It's great to see such a wonderful writer join the LJ world. :-) I've been a fan of your work from the Stargate fandom, which led to purchasing your books, which I've managed to get other people hooked onto as well, so I hope you don't mind if I add you to my friends list to keep up with your work. :-)
