OMG! I just reveled in the complexity of Teal'c's emotions in this story. You really dealt with the unreality of T and the fireman world (Personally, given Teal'c's penchant for cheesy pop culture, I figure he's watched a lot of Emergency! reruns. Hee hee.) with this "real-er" version of the SGC in a very believable manner, and his doubts about both. And regrieving for Daniel, and realizing Sam grieved for him and...AW!
I love how Sam reads Pride and Prejudice to him as the best book ever written. I just knew she shared my taste ever since she revealed love of "Singin in the Rain". :-)
This quiet time of comfort and self reflection was just luxurious. Thank you for sharing it.
BTW, what is Turkish delight? I only know it from the Narnia tales.
