This is a really nice story. I love the intertwining of the two stories, of the domesticity of his family like pre-Sarah. (Which is something I don't recall having ever seen before, I love that Chris had a life before Sarah, and I'm intrigued by the separation of her from the situation, other than of his taming: is he past his grief or does she not connect because Vin is a man? I think it's probably the former, but the other possibility is interesting too.) Also, I love Chris' parents. They are so cute. Such a happy little scene, it almost reminds me of my parents--not the subject matter, of course, but the tone of it is something comfortingly domestic to me. Ah, memories.
I love the juxtaposition of that to catching Vin bathing, I love Chris' insights. I read the other part first a long time ago (can't remember if I left a comment or not, because I suck) but I love how different the tone is between the POVs.
I just love this. You should write more. Like, uh, how about now? XP
