SG-1 Fic Rec
Aug. 12th, 2006 05:59 pmI've really enjoyed fic from Aelfgyfu's Mead Hall in recent weeks. These are the kind of fic where it feels as if someone has kindly handed you a missing scene or extra episode you had not seen until now.
I particularly enjoyed My Dinner With Vala, which has a scene I would have loved to see on the show - Jack's first meeting with Vala. Aelfgyfu's wonderful tortured Daniel who gets twisted up in knots with the strain of a night out in company with Vala is just blissful to behold.
I'm also very grateful for how clear she is on spoilers, as I still haven't seen all of S9. I found this to be beautifully written fic with that scalpel-precise characterization, where every word out of the characters' mouths is something one can 'hear' them saying, which is always such a pleasure to read. Wholeheartedly recommended.
