Non-Canonical naughtiness: I seem to have slipped up here and not put any in, but if you squinted a bit you could maybe see Riley/Xander. I’d like to see some Riley/Wesley, but there really isn’t any, which is annoying, as I’m always on the lookout for Riley/Wesley fic.
NOTES: Just me working my way through some of my issues about Angel leaving Cordelia and Wesley alone in LA after what they’d been through with Faith. Also, I really like the friendship between Riley and Xander, and always wanted those two to be aware of what had happened to Cordy and Wesley in LA when Faith turned up there.

How lovely to hear from you. :) Yes, I absolutely adore Buffy and Angel and I've written quite a few fic about those characters now (all Wesley-centric just to warn you, in case he's not your favourite character). They're in the memories of my LJ. You've succumbed to SPN as well, have you? That is the show that ate fandom. I love watching SPN but do occasionally get horrified by the exodus of writers into that fandom, just because those boys are so pretty and angsty and troubled and wonderful at bonding with one another, darn them. *g* *So* good to hear from you and I hope you enjoy the fic. :)

Wes is my favorite! It's been a little while since I've looked for Buffyverse fic, but when I was reading it, Wes was my favorite Angel character. I really enjoy Wes-Cordy friendship, Wes-Angel friendship, and Wes-Cordy-Angel friendship. I don't mind mixing Fred in there (esp early Fred-Angel or Fred-Wes friendship), but I don't care for Wes-Gunn-Fred love triangle stories (of which there seem to be a lot *shrug*).

Ooooh! I had planned to spend my Sunday catching up with Supernatural fic, but this is too good to pass up. I clicked through to BKA's journal, and I see that she's written Buffyverse, too. *checks calendar* Nope, it's not my birthday, but it's like a UPS truck just delivered a load of presents to my door.

You've succumbed to SPN as well, have you? That is the show that ate fandom. I love watching SPN but do occasionally get horrified by the exodus of writers into that fandom, just because those boys are so pretty and angsty and troubled and wonderful at bonding with one another, darn them.

I had a long talk with Katya06 (who has just gotten an LJ, btw -- myfieldnotes) and we wound up trading emails on why SPN is the perfect fandom show (at least, for fans of H/C). :) So, I understand the big exodus to SPN. It's nice, in that many of my favorite authors from Stargate are now writing really good stories that I want to read, but I can understand how, if you're not very into SPN, it can be disconcerting and kind of sad to lose many of your fandom friends and playmates to this new shiney thing. I have much sympathy.

Of course, I'm also not above trying to get you into SPN (on a fannish level) as well. I have many lovely recs I could start you off with, and if you started writing SPN (in addition to Buffyverse and others, of course... no reason to abandon old toys just because you have new), I would build feedback temples in your honor.

Yay! Another Wesley fan. I'll pretty much read anything, if it has Wesley in it, as long as none of the other characters get bashed, as I'm really fond of all of them, but I do tend to prefer the gen, hurt-comfort, or slash ones, although I've read some really excellent shippy ones too. There is something particularly magical about those early seasons with their wonderful friendship though, so I'm particularly fond of fic from that era, too.

Yes, she has! bka0711's written some wonderful hurt-comfort, with that perfect 'voice' for each character, just like her SG-1 fic. I think you'll love it.

Oh, it is absolutely the perfect H/C show. It has everything. That wonderful love the two brothers share, who are both very easy on the eye, their relationship with each other and their father, and the fact that every episode pretty much has one or the other of them (or both of them) getting whumped/being in peril/needing the other to risk his life to save him. It's as if the people making it took all the best elements of what makes a show fan-friendly and put them together and gave them a big mix.

It's nice, in that many of my favorite authors from Stargate are now writing really good stories that I want to read, but I can understand how, if you're not very into SPN, it can be disconcerting and kind of sad to lose many of your fandom friends and playmates to this new shiney thing. My main reason for wailing is because this absolutely fantastic Wesfic-writing author, eloise_bright, has absconded to SPN fandom, causing me to gnash my teeth and rend my garments, although, obviously a fantastic boon for SPN fans as they get to read all her hurt-comforty goodness. But I can't pretend I don't understand the appeal and I do think there is a fantastic energy from a live show, as it throws out new information about characters and puts them in unexpected situations that is very inspiring.

Of course, I'm also not above trying to get you into SPN (on a fannish level) as well. I have many lovely recs I could start you off with, and if you started writing SPN (in addition to Buffyverse and others, of course... no reason to abandon old toys just because you have new), I would build feedback temples in your honor.

I don't know why I have no real urge to write SPN fic as I really enjoy the show, bought the boxset the second it came out, and can happily rewatch episodes, and very much enjoyed having Jensen Ackles passing in front of my eyes in Dark Angel, and enjoy it even more in SPN, but for some reason, I'm just not fannish about it. The only idea I've had is for a very silly crossover with a teeny cameo for the Winchester Boys. But it's one of those fandoms, like SG-1, where there is so much fic, and so many songvids, and just a fantastic amount of energy being generated that it must be terrific to be in that fandom, as one would never be short of anything to read.

It's just so good to hear from you and I'm so pleased that katya06 is enjoying LJ land, too, and enjoying a new fandom so much. You two have had quite the year of it, and you both deserve truckloads of hurt-comfort fic and snuggles. *So* good to hear from you, hon. :)

OMGGGGG This fic is marvellous. I absolutely love all your Wes fics- I have them all bookmarked XD. I love S1/S2 Wes.. you just wanna wrap him up in bubblewrap and stick a "Fragile" sticker on him! Lol I need more fic now.... *goes skipping off in search of hurt/comfort*

(Who wrote Second Thoughts (http://bka0711.livejournal.com/1719.html), which I think you've read.) And versaphile's Angel fanfic recs here: Versaphile's Angel Recs (http://versaphile.com/recs/fandom.asp?f=Angel) are wonderful. Oh, and have you read everything on YesWes (http://www.yeswes.com/fiction/index.html)? That has wonderful early-season Wesley fic, with lots of hurt-comfort.

YesWes is awesome! When I found it I was like "..........JACKPOT!!!!". I think there was a fic dealing with when he got shot on there. The Thin Dead Line is my favourite episode evarrrrr. So much angst in 45 minutes XD
